Veteran Actress Ngozi Nwosu Seeks ₦30m for Emergency Surgeries

Renowned Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has issued an urgent public appeal for financial assistance as she battles a severe medical condition requiring three critical surgeries.

The veteran screen star, who revealed she has been hospitalized for three weeks, shared a video on her social media page explaining that the mounting cost of her treatment has exceeded her financial capacity. The total required for the procedures is estimated at ₦30 million.

In an emotional address to her fans, family, and colleagues, Nwosu pleaded for swift intervention to save her life.

“My people, my fans, and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalized now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die,” she said. “I’m begging you… because I am going through a lot of pain.”

Acknowledging the difficulty of making her private struggle public, the actress noted in an accompanying statement that the critical nature of her health condition left her with no alternative.

She instructed well-wishers and prospective donors to reach out through her legal representative or management team to coordinate contributions.

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Nwosu first rose to prominence as Madam V Boot in the classic television drama Ripples, before achieving household fame in the hit comedy series Fuji House of Commotion. Her extensive filmography includes acclaimed roles in Domitila, A Cry for Help, Skinny Girl in Transit, and The Smart Money Woman.

Her appeal has triggered a widespread response across the country, with fans and industry colleagues mobilizing support and offering prayers for her swift recovery.
