Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has once again stirred mixed reactions on social media following a public birthday tribute to colleague Lizzy Gold, further fueling ongoing speculations of a romantic relationship between the two actors.
The public attention comes months after social media rumors alleged that Edochie had parted ways with his baby mama, Judy Austin, to focus on Lizzy Gold. Speculations intensified following the release of a new romance movie titled ‘My Star,’ which featured a passionate kissing scene between Edochie and Gold.
Taking to his official Instagram page, Edochie showered praises on Gold, describing her as a hard worker and a “go-getter.”
He wrote: “Happy birthday to a very hardworking woman, a go-getter with a good heart, @lizzygoldofficial. The Ghen Ghen Queen. Wishing you many more successful years. May God lead you always.”
In response to the post, Lizzy Gold acknowledged the gesture, writing, “Thanks Odogwu I appreciate,” while close associate and actress Destiny Etiko reacted with a simple “Amen.”
The development has reignited conversations surrounding Edochie’s turbulent marital life, following his separation from his first wife, May Edochie, and his controversial relationship with Judy Austin.
Fans and social media users swarmed the comment section to share their thoughts, with many interpreting the public shoutout as a validation of the dating rumors. Several commentators openly congratulated the pair, referring to Gold as an “incoming wife,” while others drew sharp comparisons to Edochie’s previous partner.
