The ceremony took place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, with key party figures and campaign officials in attendance. Former Senate President and ADC National Chairman, David Mark, charged members of the council to mobilise support nationwide and communicate the party’s proposals to Nigerians.

He said the party’s responsibility extended beyond electoral victory to presenting what it considers a credible alternative to governance. Mark urged campaign officials to engage communities across states, local government areas and wards, stressing that voters’ concerns should shape the campaign message.

He identified the cost of living, poverty, insecurity, unemployment, education, healthcare, infrastructure and inflation among the issues requiring attention. The council’s chairman, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, described the campaign as an effort to address Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.

He called on members to take the party’s message to communities nationwide and encouraged eligible Nigerians to participate in the electoral process. The ADC’s presidential ticket features former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Party leaders have presented the ticket as part of their effort to build a broad national coalition ahead of the next presidential election. The inauguration comes as political parties begin organising their campaign structures and preparing their messages for the 2027 contest.
