Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza of the Kebbi State High Court has been released by his captors after spending roughly a week in captivity, reuniting safely with his family on Monday.
The news of his release was confirmed by a family source, who disclosed that the jurist arrived home safely earlier in the day to a relief-filled homecoming.
Expressing profound gratitude, the family member described the judge’s safe return as a joyous milestone following days of anxiety.
“We are filled with joy and gratitude to God for bringing him back safely,” the relative stated. “It has been a difficult week, but today our family is celebrating his return.”
The family extended appreciation to the Kebbi State Judiciary, security agencies, well-wishers, and members of the community for their unwavering support and solidarity throughout the ordeal, noting that public prayers and encouragement helped sustain their hope.
