Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has cautioned media organizations against the publication of unverified and misleading reports regarding the completion status of infrastructure projects slated for commissioning by his administration.
Speaking during the inauguration of the newly completed Omoku General Hospital in ONELGA, Governor Fubara expressed displeasure over recent media reports alleging that several state projects scheduled for unveiling were incomplete. He described such publications as deliberate attempts to demarket his administration at a time when its developmental strides are receiving widespread acclaim.
The governor clarified that while over ten additional projects are fully lined up for commissioning, his administration maintains a strict policy of executing projects to total completion before opening them for public use.
“We do not commission uncompleted projects,” Fubara emphasized, reassuring residents that every project listed on the administration’s itinerary meets the highest standards of quality and readiness.
Governor Fubara also charged traditional rulers and community members in Ogbaland to take ownership of the upgraded Omoku General Hospital. He urged them to safeguard the facility against vandalism and ensure proper maintenance so it can serve the community effectively.
In his remarks, the Oba of Ogbaland, His Majesty Nwachukwu Nnam-Obi III, expressed gratitude to the state government, commending Governor Fubara for delivering key infrastructural and healthcare investments to the kingdom.
