Nigeria’s representative at the Miss World Beauty Pageant, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, has won the Miss World Top Model Africa title at the 73rd Miss World Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The 26-year-old from Rivers State, beat contestants from Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, Kenya, and South Africa to claim the continental crown.
Her victory automatically secured her a spot in the Top 40 quarterfinals of the 2026 Miss World competition.
Soye Karibi-George, who represented Bayelsa State, was crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026 in June at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, earning the right to represent Nigeria on the global stage.
Beyond pageantry, the beauty queen is a known special needs advocate through her initiative “Beyond Labels”, which focuses on inclusion and support for persons with disabilities. She previously held the Miss Africa International 2024 crown.
With her Top Model win, Soye Karibi-George joins the growing list of Nigerian women making a mark internationally and brings renewed momentum to Nigeria’s campaign at Miss World 2026.
