Unknown gunmen have shot dead two police officers at Mbodo Aluu junction in Rivers State on Monday night.The officers were stationed at the C4i checkpoint when the attack occurred.
How it Happened
An eyewitness told Exceed FM the gunmen opened fire on the policemen on duty during the night and sped off immediately after. The remains of the two officers have been evacuated and deposited in a mortuary.

The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, ASP Blessing Agabe Karbolo, has been contacted for reaction as at the time of filing this report.
