Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has extended warm congratulations to Muslim faithful across the state and the country as they celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the occasion, Governor Fubara urged the Muslim community to reflect deeply on the Prophet’s teachings, highlighting peace, compassion, tolerance, selflessness, and dedicated service to humanity as vital virtues for national unity.
The governor noted that imbibing these core values remains essential to fostering social harmony, mutual respect, and positive development within society.
While praying for Allah to grant the faithful good health, prosperity, and enduring peace, Fubara commended Muslims in Rivers State for their continuous contributions to the state’s growth and economic progress. He emphasized that Rivers State takes great pride in its rich religious and cultural diversity.
Calling for sustained harmony among residents of all beliefs, the governor charged Christians, Muslims, and adherents of other faiths to continuously promote mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence.
Fubara further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of all residents, assuring that every citizen—regardless of religious or ethnic background—will continue to enjoy security, peace, and equal opportunities to thrive.
