The newly elected Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Rivers State Branch, Dr. (Prof.) Ureh Annabel Oparaodu, has expressed her gratitude to the Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor.
Prof. Oparaodu expressed the gratitude for the CMD’s *visionary leadership and support as she assumes office as the new chairperson of the Nigeria Medical Association in Rivers State.
Prof. Oparaodu promised to lead with a progressive vision. She also pledged collaboration with RSUTH and reaffirmed her commitment to inclusiveness and fresh initiatives for NMA Rivers State Branch.
In his response, Prof. Alikor congratulated Prof Oparaodu on her victory and commended her capacity, character and engagement.
He urged her to: Build on the progress made by past NMA Rivers leadership, including Dr. Diamond Tamunokoro, now NMA National Secretary General; Keep inclusiveness at the core of her programmes.
He also pledged his continued support and prayed for her success in advancing the medical field in Rivers State.
