The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced the composition of its Presidential Campaign Council, naming former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as Director General, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, will serve as Council Secretary.
According to the leadership list released on Saturday morning, President Bola Tinubu will serve as Chairman of the Campaign Council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, designated as Vice Chairmen. APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman have been appointed as Deputy and Assistant Secretaries, respectively.
In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the campaign structure incorporates an advisory board to work alongside President Tinubu. The council of advisers features prominent party leaders including Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Senator Florence Ita Giwa.
The leadership executive also features key figures across the legislative and executive arms:
Deputy Director-Generals (Regional & Specialized Operations):
South: Senate President Godswill Akpabio
North: Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni
Mobilisation: Senator Adams Oshiomhole
Administration: The Chief of Staff to the President
Election Planning, Coordination & Monitoring: James Abiodun
Notably, the released campaign list contains no member representing the APC Rivers State chapter.
