The Rivers State Police Command has renewed its commitment to stronger inter-agency collaboration as senior officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) paid separate courtesy visits to the Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju.
The visits provided an opportunity for the security agencies to strengthen existing partnerships, improve the exchange of timely and credible security information and enhance coordinated responses to crime and emerging security threats across Rivers State.
The Immigration delegation was led by the Comptroller of the Rivers State Command, CIS LU Anatogu, while the NSCDC delegation was led by the State Commandant, Dr Dennis Reuben.
Receiving the delegations, Adepoju reaffirmed the Police Command’s commitment to maintaining cordial and result-oriented relationships with sister security agencies.
He emphasised the importance of effective communication, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations in protecting lives and property and sustaining peace in the state.
The Commissioner said continued cooperation among the security agencies was essential to building a coordinated security architecture in which the various services could work together in the interest of residents.
The engagements ended with the exchange of plaques between the participating agencies, symbolising mutual respect, partnership and a shared commitment to public safety.
