The administration of Kuje Area Council has issued a clarification regarding recent statements attributed to its Executive Chairman, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, which suggested that non-APC supporters should leave the council.
The comments had raised public concern and sparked debate across the area council. However, in an official press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Musa Samson Adayilo, the council emphasized that the administration remains fully committed to serving all residents without political discrimination.
“The Council is a public institution established to serve the collective interests and welfare of the people, regardless of their political preferences,” Adayilo stated.
Addressing the controversy, the statement urged residents, party supporters, and key stakeholders to avoid interpretations that could foster division, noting that political differences are a normal feature of a democratic society and should not hinder peaceful coexistence or governance.
According to the statement, Hon. Shekwolo remains focused on delivering infrastructural and socio-economic development across Kuje. The administration further noted that it welcomes constructive criticism, open dialogue, and active collaboration from all residents.
“Kuje Area Council belongs to all of us. Let us put our differences aside, embrace one another, and work together for the peace, unity, and development of our communities,” the statement concluded.
